Thursday, Jan 1 Yuki Teikei Haiku Society membership dues are payable. Domestic and Canada $32; Seniors, $26; International $40; Seniors $31. Mail check to Toni Homan, 9457 Mereoak Circle, Elk Grove, CA 95758.

Saturday, Jan 19    1 PM – 4 PM Yuki Teikei Haiku Society (YTHS) Meeting  (newcomers and guests welcome) at the Markham House, History Park, 1650 Senter Road, San Jose. Clysta Seney and Patricia Machmiller will give a tour of YTHS archives with haiku writing to follow.  Directions to the History Park.
Saturday, Feb 14  1 PM – 4 PM YTHS Meeting, Markham House, History Park, 1650 Senter Road, San Jose. Linda Papanicolaou to talk about love verses in renku and haiku.  Directions to the History Park.
Saturday, Mar 14  1 PM – 4 PM Haiga meeting hosted by Linda Papanicolaou.  For meeting location details and directions, please consult GEPPO.
Saturday, April 11  1 PM – 4 PM  YTHS Gallery Show opening at the Japanese American Museum with a reading and reception.  Come early to tour the museum, or visit Sundays Apr 5, 12, or 19, or Saturday April 18  Noon – 4 PM.  $5 The Museum is at 535 N 5th Street, San Jose, CA. Directions to the Museum.
Saturday, May 9   11 AM – 8 PM 

Tour and reading in the San Jose Japanese Friendship Garden Tea House, 1490 Senter Road, San Jose.

  11 AM – Noon Garden walking tour.

  Noon – 1 PM Break, on your own for lunch and ginko walk.

  1 PM – 4 PM  Featured readers, and then open mike.

  5 PM – 8 PM  YTHS 40th Anniversary Celebration Dinner      and Program at the Tea House; send $50 per/person to:               Mimi Ahern, 980 Twinbrook Drive, San Jose, CA, 95721

Saturday, Jun 13    11 AM – 3 PM Picnic and garden tour ginko at Tilden Botanic Garden at Berkeley. Gather at the Visitor Center. (to the left of the Main Gate, at the intersection of Wildcat Canyon and South Park Drive.) Easiest parking is in the parking lot across from the Garden on Wildcat Canyon Drive. Directions to the GardenDavid Sherertz will be our docent for a garden ginko with writing and sharing time.  Lawn picnic potluck lunch first, bring blanket or low chair. Saturday, Jul 11    6 PM on Tanabata Celebration at the home of Anne and Don Homan, 10695 Morgan Territory Road, in the hills above  above Livermore, CA.  Newcomers and guests are welcome. Please bring a dish for a pot-luck dinner. Please, no peanuts or peanut content in the dish. Call for directions – 925-443-9440.

Thursday, Sep 10  3 PM – 7 PM Annual Planning Meeting and Election of Officers for 2016. See GEPPO newsletter for details.
Saturday, Sep 26  6 PM on Moon Viewing Party, at the home of home of Carol Steele, 711 Oak St., Capitola, CA. Patrick Gallagher will give a talk “Phases of the Moon.”  Newcomers and guests are welcome.
October No Meeting.

Haiku retreat at Asilomar Conference Center, Monterrey Peninsula. Newcomers welcome. Set in a beautiful natural landscape, with the opportunity to learn from featured poet David Lanoue, and other experienced poets and artists. More details and registration deadlines can be found hereWrite-up.

Saturday, Dec 12  Time TBD Holiday Party at the home of Judith and Lou Schallberger, 5830 Arapaho Drive,  San Jose, CA.  Potluck dinner, please bring a peanut-free dish to share. Guests and newcomers are welcome. It is a tradition of this annual party that the poets exchange a holiday card haiga with the other poets. Thirty copies of the haiga card are likely to be enough for the exchange. Write-up.
