| Yuki Teikei Haiku Society (YTHS) Meeting (newcomers and guests welcome) at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum. Optional no-host lunch in the Museum Café at 11:00 AM, meet up at 11:45 AM, docent-led tour at 12 Noon of the exhibit “Looking East – How Japan inspired Monet, Van Gogh, and other Western Artists”. | Picnic (please bring a peanut-free dish to share) and garden tour ginko at Tilden Botanic Garden at Berkeley. Gather at the Visitor Center (to the left of the Main Gate, at the intersection of Wildcat Canyon and South Park Drive). Easiest parking is in the parking lot across from the Garden on Wildcat Canyon Drive. Directions to the Garden. David Sherertz will be our docent for a garden ginko with writing and sharing time. | Holiday Party at the home of Patricia and Al Machmiller’s home , 6116 Dunn Avenue, San Jose, CA. Potluck dinner, please bring a peanut-free dish to share. Guests and newcomers are welcome. It is a tradition of this annual party that the poets exchange a holiday card haiga with the other poets. Thirty copies of the haiga card are likely to be enough for the exchange. |
